Frozen music – a film about Berwaldhallen

Frozen music – a film about Berwaldhallen

Mark Isitt is your guide in this film about Berwaldhallen's architecture.

Brutalism was a style of architecture in the second half of the 20th century, with raw concrete taking centre stage. Architects Sune Lindström and Erik Ahnborg designed the Berwaldhallen in this style, having also designed the radio and TV buildings at Gärdet in Stockholm.

In this film, architectural journalist Mark Isitt talks about the architecture of the Berwaldhallen and its location deep in the bedrock – which also gives the indoor environment in the foyers a unique character.
